This week started with a snow storm that canceled work for us. Now, a week later it's up in the 50's, with the high supposed to get around 59. Of course, tomorrow's forecast says a high of 35 with a "wintry mix changing to snow." Weather in New England in March is quite crazy.
Since we had good weather today, we decided it was time to take some "before and after" pictures of Dan's cars.
This was Dan's first car, the old cluncker we bought for him to practice and learn on. It's a 1995 Honda Civic Ex. It wasn't a bad car. It had power windows, doors, and sunroof, which was nice. However, as old cars often go, there were some rather expensive mechanical issues that needed to be fixed. Since it would have cost more to make the repairs than the car would be worth, we decided it was time to move on.
It's funny how things in life work out sometimes. For the longest time Dan and I have made fun of baige cars, making jokes about picking such a boring color for a car. Now we have a baige 2007 Ford Focus. We got a good deal on it, and it had less than 6,000 miles, which was great. It has playfully been dubbed "The Baige Blurr" in companionship to my 2008 Honda Fit dubbed "The Blue Bomber."
